Bio

Jordan McCann, who has been involved in collegiate women’s basketball since 2010, is in his first season as an assistant coach at University of Bridgeport.

He spent last season at Division III Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. McCann served as the assistant coach with the women's program for the 2016-2017 season. He served as guards coach, conducted all film breakdown, directed all of the social media for team, organized all community service projects, recruited nationally, and coordinated all travel for team and staff as well.

During the 2015-16 season, McCann served as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball program at Division III Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.  In addition to working with players on skill development, he produced film breakdown, scouted opponents and assisted in all aspects of recruiting.
 
McCann’s collegiate coaching career began in 2013 at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, FL., where he helped guide the Bobcats to a 41-16 record and a pair of Sun Conference regular-season championships in his two seasons.  During the 2014-15 campaign, STU finished with a 24-4 overall record and secured an automatic berth in the NAIA Division II tournament by winning the Sun Conference postseason championship.
 
McCann was involved in all aspects of the St. Thomas program. In addition to recruiting and scouting, his responsibilities included planning, executing and conducting practices, as well as designing and conducting pre- and post-practice workouts for individual players.
 
McCann also completed an internship with women’s basketball program at the University of Illinois in 2013, assisting the director of basketball operations with scheduling for the upcoming season and assisting the coaching staff with individual summer workouts.

In 2009-2013 McCann attended the University of Illinois where he received a bachelors in Sports Management.  In 2014 he received his masters degree in Sports Administration at St. Thomas University.
