Samnell Vonleh And Kadijah Dickson Earn 2017-18 All-ECC Women's Basketball Honors

West Babylon, N.Y.-Two members of the 2017-18 University of Bridgeport women's basketball team have earned All-East Coast Conference accolades for their outstanding play this season. Junior Samnell Vonleh (Swampscott, Mass.) earned a spot on the All-ECC Second Team and sophomore Kadijah Dickson (Queens, N.Y.) was named Third Team All-Conference in a vote of league coaches' released on Friday night.

Vonleh, a Third Team All-East Coast Conference selection last season, led the Purple Knights on the glass this season grabbing an average of 8.8 rebounds per game. She finished second on the team in scoring averaging 11.3 points per game and posted nine double-double during the season. A dominant force in the paint, Sam also blocked a team leading 63 shots in 26 games played.

Dickson, the ECC Rookie of the Year two seasons ago who missed last year due to injury, returned to the court in a big way leading UB in scoring averaging 11.6 points per game and grabbing an average of 6.5 rebounds per outing. She also was second on the team in assists with 77 in 27 game played.
