Bridgeport, Conn. - The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team hosted LIU Post on Wednesday night, and the visiting Pioneers picked up and East Coast Conference win by a 78-51 margin. UB is now 6-16 overall and 3-9 in the ECC. LIUP is now 15-6 overall and the Pioneers are 10-1 in conference play.
Bridgeport junior Samnell Vonleh (Swampscott, Mass.) had a double-double on the night with 12 points and 14 rebounds, and she also seven blocks and two steals. Sophomore Jaqualah Holliman (Boston, Mass.), who went 5-for-7 from the floor, finished with a Bridgeport career-best 12 points of the bench.
Turnovers proved to be the difference in the contest, as Bridgeport committed 28 turnovers that the Pioneers turned into 30 points; while LIU Post had a total of 16 turnovers on the night.
