Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team closed out its 2015-16 season on a high note with a 60-46 road win over the Mercy College Mavericks. UB ends its 2015-16 season at 10-18 overall and 8-12 in the East Coast Conference. Mercy finishes its season at 6-22 overall and 3-17 in conference play.
Bridgeport sophomore Aurelie Leblanc-Florent (Longueuil, Quebec, Canada) led all scorers on the afternoon with 20 points. She was joined in double figures by freshman Kadijah Dickson (Queens, N.Y.) with 11 points, and Dickson also grabbed nine rebounds.
UB junior Louise Ovner (Vallentuna, Sweden) closed out the year in fine style taking down 12 rebounds, scoring eight points and blocking three shots. Sister Evelyn Ovner (Jr., Vallentuna, Sweden) had 11 rebounds and also netted right points.
Deasia Goodson led Mercy with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
