Big Fourth Quarter Lifts Women's Basketball To 67-58 Road Win Over Queens (N.Y.) College
Purple Knights Outscore Their Host 20-9 In Final Quarter
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team outscored the host Queens (N.Y.) College Knights 20-9 in the fourth quarter to post a big 67-58 East Coast Conference win on Monday evening in New York City. With the victory, Bridgeport is now 7-12 overall and 5-6 in conference play. The loss snaps a six-game winning streak for Queens, as the Knights are now 11-7 overall and 8-4 in the ECC.
UB freshman Kadijah Dickson, playing in her hometown of Queens, New York, led the victorious Purple Knights with 15 points, and she also grabbed seven rebounds. Sophomore Morgen Caution (Baltimore, Md.) also reached double-digit scoring for Bridgeport with 12 points, and freshman Briana Stoddart (Brooklyn, N.Y.) rounded out the UB trio in double figures with 11 points.
MacKenzie Rowland led three Queens' players in double figures with a game-high 23 points.
Up next, the Bridgeport women's basketball team travels to Western New York to face the Robert Wesleyan College Redhawks in Rochester on Friday night. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m.
