Women's Hoops Remains Unbeaten With 69-53 Home Win Over Concordia (N.Y.)
Purple Knights Now Hit The Road For Four Games Beginning On Monday Night At Caldwell
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team raised its 2012-13 season record to an unblemished 3-0 with a 69-53 home win over the Concordia (N.Y.) College Clippers on Saturday afternoon. Concordia is now 0-4 on the young season after the loss.
UB led 36-33 at half and put the game way as they opened the first 8:55 of the second half on a 17-4 run which gave the Purple Knights a comfortable 53-37 lead.
Senior Tanisha Carter (East Hartford, Conn.) led Bridgeport in scoring on the day with 24 points. Graduate student Priscilla Dodoo (Worcester, Mass.) had a fine all-around game for the winners scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds, dishing out five assists and making three steals.
UB freshman Danielle Dorsett (Waterbury, Conn.) led all rebounders in the game with nine boards.
Krystina Agard led the Clippers with 13 points.
The Bridgeport women's basketball team is back in action on Monday night, November 19, as the Purple Knights begin a four-game road trip at Caldwell College in New Jersey. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
