Flushing, N.Y.-It was a tough Saturday afternoon in New York City for the University of Bridgeport softball team, as the Purple Knights lost both games of an East Coast Conference doubleheader versus Queens (N.Y.) In game one, UB scored a run in the top of the first inning, but the host Knights would score nine runs over the next three innings. Bridgeport scored six runs in the top of the fourth to cut the deficit to 9-7, but Queens would go on to post the 10-7 victory.
In the opener, sophomore Jenna DiLorenzo (Woodbridge, Conn.) had three hits and one RBI, and junior Gabryelle Dubois (Carlisle, Iowa) chipped in two hits and added an RBI.
