Clermont, Fla.-It was a tough Saturday for the University of Bridgeport women's softball tam in Florida, as the Purple Knights dropped two games falling to Stonehill to open the day, 2-1, and losing to Pace, 12-0, in a game called after five innings.
A bright spot for the team was the batting of senior Jessica Griesinger (Brewster, N.Y.) against Pace, as she went three-for-three at the plate/
The Purple Knights, who are now 2-4 on the young season, will take Sunday off, and on Monday will face St. Michael's College and Minnesota State Moorhead.
