C.W. Post Sweeps Softball In ECC Twinbill

Brookville. N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport softball team was swept in an East Coast Conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at C.W. Post as the Purple Knights lost game one, 8-0 in five innings, and fell in game two, 5-3.  UB is now 14-27 overall and 7-19 in ECC play.  With the sweep, CWP is now 33-15 overall and 21-3 in conference action.

Freshman Katelyn Wall (Madison, Conn.), who had Bridgeport's only hit in the opener, drove in two runs in game two.  Classmate Morgan Dunn (Cohoes, N.Y) drove in UB's other run in the nightcap.

The Bridgeport softball team is back in action on Saturday afternoon at home when they host Queens (N.Y.) College. Action gets underway at DeLuca Field in Stratford at 1:00 p.m.
