Cross Country Teams Open 2018 Schedules At NYIT Invitational

Old Westbury, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross country teams opened their 2018 schedules on Saturday at the NYIT Invitational, and both teams finished in seventh place on the day.

On the men's side, senior D'vonne Trumbo (Pilesgrove, N.J.) was the Purple Knights' top finisher covering the 8K course in a time of 31:30.12 to take 32nd scoring place.

For the UB women, junior Andrea Terranova (Haverhill, Mass.) was the first UB runner across the finish line on the day turning in a time of 25:48.58 over the 5K course which put her in 36th position.

Up next, the Bridgeport cross country teams will return to Long Island for the LIU Post Invitational next Saturday morning.
