Bridgeport Cross Country Teams Return To Long Island To Race In LIU Post Invitational
Men Take Seventh Place And Women Finish In Fourth Place
Brookville, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's and men's cross country teams took part on Saturday morning in the LIU Post Invitational on Long Island. The UB women finished in fourth place out of seven total teams; while the Bridgeport men took seventh place out of ten teams.
The top finisher for the Bridgeport men was junior Norman Clayton (Bronx. N.Y.), who covered the 8K course in time of 29:53.32 which placed him in 28th scoring place.
For the Purple Knights'women, graduate student Alina Sotnikova (Riga, Latvia) was the team's top runner, as she has in each meet so far in 2016, finishing the 5K course in a time of 21:26.29, good for 12th scoring place.
Next Saturday, the UB cross country teams return to action at the NJIT Invitational in Newark, New Jersey.
