Swimmers Continue Action At NCAA Championship Meet

Greensboro, N.C.-The University of Bridgeport swim teams continued action at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship Meet in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday with junior Nina Stegu (Ljublijana, Slovenia) and sophomore Erik Hren (Maribor, Slovenia) competing in the women's and men;s 200 yard Freestyles.

Stegu fell just short of Honorable Mention All-America honors in her event finishing in 18th in a time of 1:50.93.

Hren did not advance to the evening session as he turned in a time of 1:39.19.

The UB women sit in 33rd place out of 38 scoring teams after day two of the NCAAs; while the Purple Knights' men are looking to score their first points of the meet.

Action continues at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship Meet through Saturday evening.
