UB Swimmers Set For 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship Meet In North Carolina

Indianapolis, Indiana-The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced Thursday the swimmers who qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division II Men and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, and at least five individuals from the University of Bridgeport will be traveling to the championships which will be held March 14-17 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
For the Bridgeport men, junior Wilmar Du Plessis (Bloemfontein, South Africa), sophomore Erik Hren (Maribor, Slovenia) and freshman Kosta Mitrovic (Belgrade, Serbia) will be headed to North Carolina, and junior Klavio Meca (Tirana, Albania) is an alternate in the 1650 Yard Freestyle.
Du Plessis is scheduled to compete in the 100 and 200 Yard Backstrokes; while Hren should see action in the 200, 500, 100 and 1650 Yard Freestyles. Mitrovic has qualified to compete in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
On the women's side, senior Annagrazia Bonsanti (Caracas, Venezuela) and junior Nina Stegu (Ljublijana, Slovenia) earned trips to North Carolina.
Bonsanti will compete in the 1650, 100, 500 and 200 Yard Freestyles, and Stegu will swim in the 100 and 200 Yard Frees.
