Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team continues to search for its first win of the 2016 campaign, as the host Purple Knights dropped a 1-0 home, non-conference decision to the visiting Concordia (N.Y.) College Clippers on Tuesday night. UB is now 0-10-2 on the season, and the Clippers up their season mark to 10-4-0. Bridgeport has now lost five matches by a 1-0 score line, and a total of seven outings by one goal this year.
The only tally of the match came with 14:30 to play in regulation, as Concordia's Sam Turnbull put home a rebound off Ovan Oakley's shot that hit the post. On the night, the Clippers outshot the Purple Knights, 23-13.
Bridgeport senior goalkeeper Fabio Junior (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) made three saves on the night, and Concordia's Jamie Gonzalez made four stops to record the clean sheet.
