Two Purple Knights Earn Weekly ECC Accolades
Milos Suljagic from men's soccer and Agatha Baliddawa from volleyball garner ECC awards.
Central Islip, N.Y.-Two University of Bridgeport student-athletes have earned weekly recognition from the East Coast Conference.
In volleyball, graduate student Agatha
Baliddawa (Jinja, Uganda) was named Co-Player of the Week
after helping her team defeat Queens (N.Y.) College in their only
action last week. In that match, Agatha slammed 20 kills and
had an attack percentage of .552. The Bridgeport volleyball
heads into this week's play with a 10-1 overall record and a 1-0
East Coast Conference mark.
In men's soccer, senior goalkeeper Milos
Suljagic (Belgrade, Serbia) was named ECC Defensive
Player of the Week after recording his first shutout of the 2010
season in the Purple Knights' 1-0 overtime win over Mercy on
Saturday.
Bridgeport student-athletes have now won a total of 10 East Coast
Conference weekly awards so far this fall.
