Nazario of Men's Lacrosse Selected as USILA Scholar All-American

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a sensational senior season, both on and off the field, Peter Nazario of the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team has been named a 2024 USILA Scholar All-American.
Nazario, who finished this year with a cumulative GPA of 3.8, will go down as one of the original pillars of the UB men's lacrosse program. The Long Islander has started all 28 games in the two-year history of the Purple Knights. In fact, Nazario's squad went from just one win in the team's first year to a record of 7-8 this past spring. Bridgeport's plus-six wins from 2023 to 2024 is the highest mark in the country.
Nazario finished this season fourth in the CACC in goals-against average (11.55) and fifth in save percentage (51.7), while playing a total of 810 minutes in net. He had 10 games where he racked up double-digit saves and currently stands with 364 career stops in 31 contests. Nazario was twice named the CACC's Goalkeeper of the Week, including on April 15 after tallying 27 saves in wins over Caldwell and Felician.
In addition to lacrosse excellence, Nazario's work in the classroom has also been superb. He was recently named to the CACC's All-Academic Team and will be represented on the CACC's Academic Honor Roll later this month.
