Joshua Dennis Leads Bridgeport With 15 Points
Bloomfield, N.J.-Four players reached double figures, but the University of Bridgeport men's basketball team suffered a 105-87 road loss against the Bloomfield College Bears on Wednesday night to close out the Purple Knights' 2022-23 campaign. UB finishes the year at 10-17 overall and 6-12 for its first season in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. BC moves to 16-10 overall and 12-5 in the CACC.
Junior Joshua Dennis (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led UB with 15 points on the night. He was joined in double-digit scoring by junior D'Andre Collins (Newark, N.J.) with 14 points, senior Ali Sumareh (Bronx, N.Y.) with 13 points and Mason Williams (Sr., Voorhees, N.J.) continued his stellar play to finish out the season with game number 11 in a row in double figures with 12 points, plus he was just shy of a double-double for the game with nine rebounds.
Bloomfield's Tyrek Battle-Holley had a triple-double on Wednesday with 19 points, 10 rebounds and assists.
