Men's Basketball Stumbles At Home Versus Queens (N.Y.), 84-75
Purple Knights Will Look To Get Back In The Win Column At Molloy On Saturday Afternoon
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team could not overcome a cold-shooting first half when UB connected on only 10-of-34 field goal attempts (29.4%) as the Purple Knights suffered their fifth consecutive setback falling to the visiting Queens (N.Y.) College Knights, 84-75, in an East Coast Conference contest on Wednesday evening. With the loss, UB is now 7-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play, and with the win, Queens is now 7-6 overall and 4-2 in the ECC.
Senior Stefano Osuji (Voorhees, N.J.) led Bridgeport in scoring with 20 points.
He was joined in double figures by junior Sam Joseph (Brooklyn, N.Y.) with 14 points, and sophomore Rakim Lesane (Coney Island, N.Y.) had 10 points for the Purple Knights.
Diego Maldonado, who went 5-for-5 from behind the three-point arc, led four QC players in double figures with 20 points.
