Two Purple Knights Earn Places On 2015-16 All-ECC Men's Basketball Teams
Devon Elliott Selected First Team All-ECC And Muhammed Ahmed Named Second Team All-Conference
Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport men's basketball seniors Devon Elliott (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Muhammed Ahmed (Bronx, N.Y.) have earned spots on the 2016 All-East Coast Conference Men's Basketball Teams. Elliott, who earned Second Team All-ECC accolades in 2015, moves up to a sport on the First Team All-ECC squad, and Ahmed was selected to the Second Team All-Conference group.
In 2015-16, Elliott averaged 14.4 points and 4.7 rebounds, and led the Purple Knights in steals with 55. He finished second on the team in assists with a total of 67 this season, as he started all 29 of his team's games.
In his first season in a UB uniform after transferring for North Texas, Ahmed led Bridgeport in scoring and rebounding averaging 14.7 points and 6.1 boards per game. Muhammed started all 27 games in which he played during the 2015-16 and led UB in blocked shots with a total of 34.
