BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Continuing a stretch of seven games in six days, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped a 10-5 matchup to Mercy on Sunday.
Jeremy Rodrigues served as a major bright spot for the Purple Knights. Not only did he register his 100th career hit, but also hammered his sixth home run of the season.
Rodrigues currently ranks second in the CACC in both long balls and slugging percentage (.867).
Besides Rodrigues, it was an extremely balanced attack for Bridgeport. In fact, nine different Purple Knights accounted for the squad's 10 total hits.
Anthony Pascale and Angel Irby supplied RBI singles while Vin Mallon and Sean Jefferson both legged out doubles. Pascale also walked in the game to move his team-high on-base percentage to .500 this season.
