Tampa, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team saw its overall record slip to 1-10 so far in 2019 with a 7-4 loss to Bentley University in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday afternoon.
UB trailed 3-0 in the early going of the contest, but came back to take a 4-3 lead after the top of the fourth, but the Falcons tied things at 4-4 with a run in the bottom of the fourth and grabbed a 6-4 lead which they never relinquished in the fifth.
Freshman Cory Listing (West Sand Lake, N.Y.) with two and sophomore Vincent DeRubeis (Trumbull, Conn.) with one had the Bridgeport runs batted in on Tuesday.
After an off day on Wednesday, the UB baseball will close out it four-game series with Bentley in Florida with an 11:00 a.m. contest on Thursday.
