Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team fell to visiting Adelphi University Panthers, 10-4, in a non-conference contest played at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Purple Knights are now 8-30 on the season. The Panthers move their overall season record to 21-14-1.
Senior Mark Komarmi (Bridgeport, Conn.) and freshman Conall Roberts (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) each had two hits, as part of a 10-hit Bridgeport attack on Tuesday.
Junior Mark Hirschbeck (Trumbull, Conn.) had two runs batted in for the Purple Knights, and Roberts and classmate Logan Allen (Magnolia, Tex.) each had one RBI for the hosts.
Up next, the UB baseball team returns to East Coast Conference play on Friday afternoon in New York City when the Purple Knights open a four-game weekend series with the Queens (N.Y.) College Knights. First pitch for Friday's single game is slated for 3:30 p.m.
