Altamonte Springs, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team continued to struggle on its Spring Break Trip to Florida on Friday, as the Purple Knights were defeat by the Bentley University Falcons, 17-2. UB is now 1-14 on the season. Bentley now sits at 5-7 overall.
Senior Daren Grabowski (Berlin, Conn.) and Jose Negron (New Haven, Conn.) each had two hits for Bridgeport on Friday, and graduate student Tom Rinaldi (Waterbury, Conn.) and junior Mark Hirschbeck (Trumbull, Conn.) knocked in the UB runs.
The same two teams will continue their four-game series in Florida on Saturday with a 12 noon doubleheader.
