Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team suffered an 8-2 home East Coast Conference loss versus St. Thomas Aquinas College on Monday afternoon at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. UB is now 15-20 overall and 9-9 in the ECC. STAC ups its overall mark to 27-12, and the Spartans are now 11-4 in conference action.
St. Thomas Aquinas benefited from four Purple Knights' errors on Monday, as six of their eight runs scored were unearned.
Graduate student Zach Burger (Orlando, Fla.) had two hits for Bridgeport in the loss, and senior Casey Ouellette (New Canaan, Conn.) and junior Daren Grabowski (Berlin, Conn.), each drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Up next, the UB baseball team is slated to travel to Molloy College for an ECC match-up on Tuesday afternoon.
