St. Petersburg, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team closed out a two-game series at Eckerd College on Wednesday night with a 13-4 loss to the host Tritons. UB is now 2-6, and Eckerd ups is season mark to 10-13.
Junior Stephen DiNicola (Rochester, N.Y.) went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run batted in for the Purple Knights, and senior Casey Ouellette (New Canaan, Conn.) added two hits and two runs batted in for Bridgeport.
After taking Thursday off, the UB baseball team will wrap up its Spring Trip to Florida with a four-game series against Bentley University that will begin on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with a single game. The Purple Knights and Falcons will play their series at the University of Tampa.
