Baseball's Jesse Solar Earns ABCA/Rawlings East Region Gold Glove Accolades

Bridgeport, Conn.-Junior center fielder Jesse Solar (Marlton, N.J.) has been named to the 2013 ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association)/Rawlings NCAA Division II East Region Gold Glove Team for his defensive prowess.

Solar handled 96 chances (92 putouts and four assists) this season without committing an error for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

As a team, the Purple Knight posted a 22-26 overall record in 2013 and went 13-11 in East Coast Conference play.  UB advanced to the final game of the ECC Championship Tournament for the third consecutive year this season.
