Junior Shortstop John Ascenzia Named Second Team NCBWA All-East Region For 2013

Bridgeport, Conn.-University of Bridgeport junior shortstop John Ascenzia (West Haven, Conn.) has been selected to the 2013 National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association of America (NCBWA) Second Team All-East Region Team.  Ascenzia was also named First Team All-East Coast Conference last week.

John batted an impressive .345 on the season, drove in 25 runs plus stole 18 bases this season.  He also made only 11 errors all season long handling over 250 chances at shortstop, as he saw action in all 48 of his team's games.
