Baseball Falls In Series Finale At St. Thomas Aquinas
Spartans Top Purple Knights, 14-4
Pomona, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team saw its overall record slip to 6-11 and its East Coast Conference mark fall to 1-3, as the Purple Knights lost a 14-4 decision against the host St. Thomas Aquinas College in the finale of a four-game ECC series on Monday afternoon, STAC is now 15-7 overall and 6-2 in conference action.
UB sophomore Tim Bickford (Wallingford, Conn.) went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI. Freshman Bryan Kondor (Shelton, Conn.) had two hits for the Purple Knights, and senior Zach Theulen (W. Springfield, Mass.) drove in two runs.
The Bridgeport baseball team is right back in action on Tuesday, as they return to the Ballpark at Harbor Yard for a non-conference game against Nyack College. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
